The goal of Public Theology is to offer theologically framed presentations / discussions / conversations on topics of general interest. While we speak from a particular Christian perspective, we hope that anyone interested in the truth will find these gatherings beneficial. As Jesus said, the finding is in the seeking.

Catholics?

Holy Trinity Church
How should Protestants view the Catholic Church? Is Catholicism a false (or worse) form of Christianity? Is it just another option among the wide variety of Christian expression? Or is it the one true church to which we should be reunited?
Just why are we Protestant and why are they Catholic?
Does this division matter? Can it be overcome?
In light of the death of Pope Francis, the start of a conclave (on 7 May) to name his successor, and the accompanying media attention, it's a good opportunity to reflect upon how we Protestants should think about our relationship to the Catholic Church.
Logan will address these questions autobiographically then invite responses, questions, and conversation. All are welcome.
